Freelance Website Designer Needed (Midtown West)

Ardis Health, an international e-commerce beauty and cosmetics company, is seeking a Freelance Website Designer to develop all of its products microsites.

Candidate must have a portfolio that demonstrates conceptual thinking, ability to deliver creative solutions with a strong visual experience.

Candidate should have a great understanding of the UI design experience for websites. This individual must have an eye for creativity a passion for design and the drive for success.

Position:

-Originate the positioning and branding of new products and take over the creative strategy and execution of existing products.

- Create brand look and feel, logos, labeling, website design, and online advertisements to promote products.

-Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, select style and size of type, and arrange layouts based upon available space and design aesthetic concepts.

-Work with IT staff to assure website set up, execution and integrity.

- Work with Media staff to understand their creative needs for the online media campaigns.

Requirements:

- Knowledge of dynamic content templating systems a plus

- Photo Editing (Adobe Photoshop)

- Image Optimization (ImageReady, Fireworks)

- Drawing (Macromedia Freehand, Adobe Illustrator, Other)

- Multimedia (Macromedia Director, Flash, streaming audio and video)

- HTML (hand coding, DreamWeaver, GoLive)

- Knowledge and experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XHTML, browsers and browser specs

- Expertise in current Internet standards, including Web browsers, UIs and browser specifications

- Proficiency in creativity, graphic/web design, image processing, html front-end development and advanced Flash skills.

- Experience in online marketing, product promotion, direct marketing, and/or cosmetic industry preferred.

- Online banner design, email ads, websites, e-commerce sites,e-newsletters.

- Strong organizational and project management skills

- Must be able to excel in a fast pace, deadline-oriented environment.
