The Professional Services team provides consultative services to ChoiceStream clients and works collaboratively across internal functional areas to ensure the successful delivery and implementation of ChoiceStream platforms and products as personalization solutions to customers.
Position Summary:
The Implementation Consultant will work closely with project team members and customers to ensure the successful implementation and optimal integration of the ChoiceStream site personalization product. He/she will serve as a technical contact with the customer and internal colleagues and is responsible for front-end support and customer specific configurations of the ChoiceStream API's and data inputs.
Key Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
• Participate in customer requirements gathering with a focus on technical aspects (including data collection, performance requirements, capacity planning, network architecture, recommendation presentation, etc.) and articulation of how business requirements can be implemented within the product.
• Web Site Instrumentation
• Implement integration design of ChoiceStream's activity collection code within constraints of customer's web site UI
• Assist customers with implementation of APIs and documentation of instructions
• Troubleshoot technical issues and perform any minor custom coding necessary for implementation
• Summarize and articulate findings and proposed solutions to customers
Requirements:
The role demands an energetic, versatile team player with strong technical experience, interpersonal skills, customer facing comfort and the ability to organize and prioritize tasks and analysis for rapid delivery. Qualifications include:
• 1 to 3 years of professional experience with the requirements gathering, design and build aspects of Internet software implementation and integration. Saas company experience considered a plus.
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, Internet architecture, XML web services (REST, XML-RPC, SOAP)
• Strong understanding and prior experience programming in JavaScript and associated libraries and frameworks (jQuery, YUI, Prototype, etc)
• Prior experience working in a Linux environment
• Experience working as a webmaster or building websites
• Excellent oral/written communication skills, including presentation, facilitation and consultative abilities
• Experience with a scripting language, such as Perl or Python
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent work experience
• Must be willing to travel to client sites up to 10% of time
• Experience in the retail domain or media industry is a plus
