Front End Web Designer / Web Developer (Plano, Texas)
Fast-growing e-commerce company in Plano, TX is looking for a front-end web designer / developer to join their energetic team.
The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of design experience coding with HTML/XHTML and CSS and using Dreamweaver and Photoshop on a PC. Please note: this position is for an in-house designer, there will be no telecommuting or freelance opportunities.

Job Summary:
As a designer you will be able to effectively translate ideas into design executions, while ensuring a consistently high level of design quality. Your daily interaction will involve impacting the business through landing page creation, emails, creative tasks and other various graphically driven projects.
You should be able to demonstrate a competent level of skill, understanding and knowledge across the industry standard range of design and digital applications. This skill should translate to work that is able to produce or re-produce the necessary components of each project in a manner that does not require several iterations.
This position should always be looking for ways to create opportunities in design, but as well marketing. Ultimately, at VRP, we are all looking for the greatest ways to make an impact in the business.
Duties:
Layout, design and editing of marketing emails, landing pages, web pages and online ads.
Creation of banner ads and text ads in Photoshop.
Graphics editing and creation in Photoshop.
Write HTML and CSS in Dreamweaver's code view without having to rely on design view.
Demonstrate the ability to take project details and turn out a product that is in line with the expectations of the project manager.
Demonstrate the ability to study and analyze the works effectiveness. Then be able to progressively enhance their designs where is needed.
Required Skills and Experience:
Strong initiative, commitment and a positive attitude.
Experience and unerstanding of HTML production, web graphic formats and design principles.
Working knowledge of web standards such as HTML and CSS.
Solid skills in Dreamweaver and Photoshop.
Create and enhance site design, layout, content and navigation to provide a highly relevant and usable site experience.
Ability to work hard (and sometimes long hours) in a fast-paced environment.
Learns quickly and can function with minimal supervision.
Great sense of design and typography.
Adept and using space and color correctly.
Hand code compliant and valid HTML + CSS.
Attention to detail.
Must be able to design/layout web pages in two ways:
Html and CSS without tables (how we code web pages and landing pages).
Tables with little or no CSS (how we code our email blasts).
Preferred Education:
2 or 4 year degree in computer design or relevant work experience.
