Job Description:
Front End Web Developer is responsible for converting static mockups into functional pages using HTML/CSS/JS. They work closely with product management, design and development teams transferring their requirements into "production ready" HTML. They are also responsible for maintaining and managing the existing HTML and CSS (classes, styles, id's) across the entire website, making sure the HTML/CSS code is consistent, efficient, and well formatted.
Essential Responsibilieis:
- Convert static mockups to semantic, cross-browser HTML/CSS/JS templates
- Work alongside developers to implement your code
- Rapidly prototype UIs for user testing
- Maintain library of reusable code
- Be an advocate for standards - driven technology
Experience:
- BA in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, Computer Science and/or Web Design preferred.
- 3+ years professional front end development experience
- Fluent knowledge of latest HTML/CSS standards and best practices
- Working knowledge of JavaScript/jQuery
- Fluent knowledge of browser differences/limitations
- Able to extract necessary assets from Photoshop and Illustrator files
- Eye for details is crucial
- Able to handle multiple projects and competing deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Portfolio of previous/current projects
- Experience working with large, high traffic websites a plus
- BA in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, Computer Science or related field a plus
- Experience in a Microsoft .NET environment a plus
