[Fulltime] - Interactive Flash Developer at Bean Creative Funktional Web & Interactive Design
Location: Alexandria, VA
Bean Creative, one of the most respected interactive shops in the Washington, DC area, is seeking a talented interactive designer/developer who can blow people away with interactive experiences created in Flash and ActionScript.
You won’t be doing silly animated logos and boring site intros here - you’ll flex your muscles in creating killer games, interfaces, applications and complete Flash projects for high-profile clients such as PBS Kids, The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, Random House and Verizon. Working and collaborating with other team members, you’ll create engaging and effective interactive web and offline experiences, incorporating all interface and graphic design elements.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable knowledge of Flash development including in-depth AS3 coding capabilities with the ability to program data-driven applications. We are looking for a forward-thinking Flash guru who is not only up-to-date on the Flash world, but also eager to learn and use the newest Flash/ActionScript technologies and techniques.
The ability to storyboard interactive elements and to produce highly engaging work from storyboards is a key facet of this position. Solid graphic design principles are a strong plus.
Skills required: * Strong Flash ActionScript 3.0 skills a must; Flex and AIR ideal * Back-end experience with XML, MySQL, SQLite, etc. * Strong interactive user interface design * Flash production – working with a design team to translate Photoshop and Illustrator designs to functional, interactive applications * Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment * Ability to meet tight deadlines * Strong communication skills * Desire to continue to learn and grow as our industry changes
