Job Overview:
The HL7 Integration Analyst will be responsible for day to day support of the Interface Engine, Epic Bridges application, and related activities. Analyst will also be responsible for optimizations, upgrades and enhancements of Bridges and the Interface Engine and interfaces as well as implementing new and revised interfaces.
Job Responsibilities:

- Participate in the design and development of interfaces between Epic and other applications
- Interface Programmer to design, develop, code, test and debug new and existing HL7 interfaces.
- Facilitate user departments and vendors to define the interface requirements and document interface specifications and data flow diagrams.
- Design comprehensive test plans and facilitate functionality testing with issue tracking and resolution.
- Proactively manage interfaces and engine, alerting management of potential issues in advance when possible; and monitor interface and engine usage, making recommendations for upgrades or system enhancements when needed.
- Database loads and extracts, transfer, and conversion of data between systems.

Job Qualifications:

- 5+ years programming experience with medium to large Clinical organization. Hospital, Physicians group etc.
- High level of understanding of databases (HL7 interfaces, networks and interface engines) required.
- Strong experience/proficiency with EPIC Bridges Interface Engine, strong HL7 Proficiency.
- Maintains positive working relationships, and develop ability to translate others needs into implication on the Engine/interface.
- Proven ability to design and develop applications/interfaces.

- Flexible work week may include 4 days on site 1 day remote.
