GeoIQ/Arlington, VA (Tri-state area, telecommute)GeoIQ is a geospatial mapping visualization and analysis company that is building an innovative, user-centered platform for anyone to explore data. Founded in 2005 there are offices in Washington, DC and Denver, Colorado.

We want you to drive the design and interaction of our products. Our users love working with us and your role will focus on user-focused design of complex data tools to make them easy to understand. We provide gorgeous mapping and visualization tools that are used across the world - from farmers in Afghanistan, to the World Bank and United Nations, and commercial real-estate and enterprise companies. The design considerations are never dull and you'll be helping define the next generation of data-driven user experience.

Your skills should include:
- User-focused and task oriented design including requirements gathering, mockup, functional prototypes, workflows, and usability testing
- Standards-based web design and implementation as appropriate, such as CSS3, Microformats, and some JavaScript development
- Work with the team to complete tasks, fast and reliably
- Agility to track multiple tasks and requirements based on feedback and business needs
- Self starter and more importantly a solid finisher
