Interactive Creative Director (Santa Monica)

Filter has a direct-hire opening for a high-performing Interactive Creative Director. This highly valued, strategic position will lead creative development and all online customer acquisition programs aligned with our clients goals and beauty brands. This individual must be a leader committed to producing high-quality, user-centered digital experiences, which at their core deliver high rates of converting traffic to transactions.
As the digital creative lead for the company, the Interactive Creative Director helps develop e-commerce marketing strategy and oversees online and email marketing creative that drives revenue, increases customer value and deepens consumer relationships. The right candidate must also possess the ability to inspire, direct and enhance the efforts of a creative team consisting of various levels of interactive art directors, writers and designers. Successful collaboration with cross-channel managers, including technology leads, product managers, print art directors and video producers is a must.
WHAT YOULL BE DOING
Provide creative direction and serve as a hands-on designer for websites
Deliver increasing sales
Build and retain our subscribed customer base
Provide creative direction for a wide variety of online customer acquisition campaigns
(landing pages, emails, online display advertising)
Develop online creative strategies to support new product launches and company initiatives
Work with fellow management directors to create and manage ongoing site and email development and testing plan for our core brands and network marketing online program
Benchmark best-in-class experiences and develop plans on how to bring new and existing sites to the top of the consumer experience list
SKILLS YOULL NEED
8+ years as a hands-on interactive art director/designer
4+ years experience in developing proven web strategies and online creative that converts traffic to immediate transactions
2+ years of experience as a creative director, including supervisory responsibility of several individuals with a total staff of at least four
Online portfolio of high-quality interactive work that includes web site development, rich interactive applications, landing pages, online advertising, emails
Hands-on expert in Photoshop
Excellent hands-on user of the entire Adobe Creative Suite
High design standards that deliver desired results, and the ability to manage others to do the same
Expert understanding of usability, Web 2.0 design and interactive media
Knowledge of best practices and processes to continuously improve the creativity and productivity of the team
Highly collaborative with peers, senior executives and direct reports
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
BFA of MFA from a leading 4-year undergraduate or 2-year graduate design program
