Interactive Designer (Downtown)

As a member of our growing team, you’ll be involved in creating valuable features for both merchants and consumers in the hottest and fastest-growing corner of e-commerce. Our Designers collaborate with other disciplines on product development from conception through implementation.

The candidate for this role will work closely with the Senior Designer and Creative Director on web based projects. They will design products and websites as well as support the varied efforts of the sales and marketing teams.

REQUIRED:

• Portfolio demonstrating good understanding of design fundamentals and information flow

• 2 to 4 years of web design experience at an agency and/or large media company

• Knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator a must

• Knowledge of HTML and CSS preferred

• Excellent web production skills

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create, develop and execute design for company web efforts, online products and interactive initiatives

• Utilize style guides to ensure visual consistency and embrace of best practices

• Collaborate with teams to understand wire frames and user interaction

• Work with clients directly to gather feedback and provide multiple rounds of revisions based on client feedback incorporating that feedback.

• Work closely with Programming, Marketing and Sales teams on day to day deliverables and

• Work with Producer to manage queue of requests ensuring timely response to needs.

• Undertake visual quality assurance testing before release to ensure outgoing products are representative of final comps delivered

• Provide consistent and accurate forecast for duration of projects and to ensure meeting of deadlines

• Organize all assets and deliverables based on methodologies defined by Creative Director

Critical Competencies for Success:

• Strong typographical, user interface design and production skills

• Excellent understanding of interactive media creative process

• Ability to undertake multiple projects, organize priorities and deliver consistently

• Ability to collaborate in a team environment and contribute to the creative process

• Ability to follow direction and embrace suggestions from Art or Creative Director

• Ability to communicate effectively through visualization and written word
