GRAPHIS IT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL

Graphis, Inc. (www.graphis.com) seeks the assistance of an IT Support Professional to help manage its IT assets and assist its creative staff in using the same. Successful candidates must be professional and be able to work undirected to ensure smooth ongoing day-to-day operation of technical assets and services. This should include timely preventative maintenance and foreseeing issues before they affect the ongoing business operations of this small publishing house. Successful candidates must also be able to professionally liaise with a number of stakeholders including, but not limited to: in-house creative staff and management; external development staff; service providers and suppliers.

Primary Focus: General technical support for a team of creatives.

• Knowledge capture (via Wiki), sharing of same and training of new staff as required;

• Day-to-day management of web site/web store through our custom-built CMS (Content Management System);

• Assist creative staff with the use of the same CMS;

• Assist management of mass communications with customers (via email services);

• Administration and Maintenance of shared resources:

o Wiki;

o Google Apps for your Domain;

o XServe + XRaid;

o Backup systems;

o FTP Services;

o Wired and wireless Ethernet services (including hubs/switches/routers);

o Telephone system;

o Mac Workstations;

o Printers and other peripherals;

• Level 1 support calls from customers;

• Liaise with level 2 and level 3 support resources as required;

• Capture local technical requirements;

• Liaise with external Development teams;

• Liaise with warehouse(s) and related services;

STRICT REQUIREMENTS

• Professional oral and written skill in U.S. English;

• Demonstrable experience in managing Mac workstations and servers (OS X 10.4-10.6);

• Demonstrable experience in managing backups and recovery processes;

• Demonstrable professional-level skills in:

o HTML, CSS, JS, Flash

o Data management/manipulation;

o MS Office applications (Word, Excel, especially);

o Apple software such as Mail, Pages, Numbers, etc.;

o Small office networking;

NICE TO HAVES

• Experience working in a design or publishing studio;

• Experience with In-Design, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat;

• Excellent American English oral and written skills;

• Professional customer support experience;

• Experience with backup tape systems/loaders;
