Vibrant Media is seeking an innovative, passionate and entrepreneurial Javascript Engineer to build well-crafted consumer facing interfaces. As a member of our engineering team, you will build responsive and elegant web UIs with JavaScript/Java, AJAX and other Web 2.0 technologies, while building a strong understanding of Vibrant's entire application stack.
We are looking for a candidate who:
•Identify and communicate best practices for front-end engineering
•Ensure projects are completed on time and with precise quality
•Build custom, modular components for reuse in multiple applications
•Act as a main channel for information flow between the engineering and commercial sides of the business
•Help with the availability and awareness of market-leading product solutions to meet and exceed company commercial goals
•Help coordinate the portfolio product delivery ensuring development meets company commercial goals and taking development through to market
•Act as a contact for Global Sales and BD Teams with regard to products
•A contributor to the Product Suite with decision-making control over approved live product
•Participate in discussions with Marketing, Product and Engineering teams on product enhancements and solutions
Skills you will need to be successful in this role:
•Minimum 5-8 years of experience
•3+ years experience using JavaScript, CSS 2.0
•Demonstrate understanding of core JavaScript and object-oriented development with JavaScript
•Demonstrate understanding of core DOM APIs
•Familiar with JSON format
•Familiarity with version control software such as Git or SVN
•Excellent organizational, problem solving, and communication skills
•Strong portfolio of applications showing large-scale/enterprise usage of JavaScript/CSS and significant code re-use
•Must be able to multi-task and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
•Ability to handle projects of sensitive or urgent nature in a professional and timely manner
•Practitioner of standard professional software development processes, including specification definition, task estimation, test plan development, and documentation
•Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours (if necessary) to accomplish business objectives
•Bachelor's Degree
