Jr Web Designer (Los Angeles)
Top swimwear brand with growing Ecommerce team is looking for an ONSITE Freelance Junior Web Designer to join the team. The Graphic Designer will support the web design team. This person is responsible for creating graphics for all aspects of web design including but not limited to homepages, landing pages, emails, banner ads, etc. This person works closely with the Art Director, and Senior Designers to ensure a brand consistency across all mediums. This person is expected to meet deadlines. It is ideal for this person to continue to learn and grow through research, training, industry coursework etc.
This position is a currently a temporary position, with the posibility of full hire in the near future.
Responsibilities:
Maintains the creative vision and beliefs of the Creative Director, Art Director and/or Sr level designers within each individual project and will contribute as a creative team member.
Participates in meetings and critiques; substantiates existing design direction or will contribute to new potential design direction.
With input from Art Director or Sr. designers, conducts and contributes conceptual exploration of design alternatives, begins concepts until final execution is achieved.
Collaborates with other assigned project team members.
Seeks out opportunities for personal creative growth by working outside area of expertise. Types of Projects: Digital Media Design: Homepages, landing pages, emails, banner ads
Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree in graphic design or equivalent preferred 2-3 years of graphic design experience
Ability to implement web/multimedia ideas
Solid understanding of CS package / Photoshop / Illustrator / Fireworks / Flash
Solid understanding of design principles and UI best practices a plus
Solid understanding of Social Networking, Facebook; Fan pages; Twitter etc. a plus
Education Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of progressive experience required.
