Junior Art Director (Financial District)

Job Description

Reporting to the Vice President of Integrated Marketing this position will be responsible to produce dynamic print and digital design for ALM/Real Estate Media Group’s trusted brands. The candidate will be supremely creative and move effortlessly between traditional print publishing, online products, iPad apps, and social media. Just as important, he or she will be a collaborative team player with a proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal and time management skills are required. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite 5 is a must.

Design and Production Responsibilities include:

• Daily html email promotions

• Direct-mail brochures, conference programs, advertisements and event signage for 12 events

• Consistently update and redesign marketing templates to ensure a fresh look

• Oversee the scheduling and coordination of all print production and digital deliveries

• Work with Marketing Coordinator to produce sales collateral/marketing materials

• Work with VP, Integrated Marketing to establish design styles and new design concepts

• Work with clients and Reprints Manager to design print and digital custom reprints

• Acts as a backup for other parts of the Real Estate Media team (Real Estate Forum Magazine)

The right candidate for the job:

• Will have at least 3 years of BtoB design experience

• Will be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite 5 and HTML; Flash is a plus

• Will have terrific design sensibilities and photo editing skills

• Will have good creative sense with ability to design on and off computer

• Will have superb organizational and detail-oriented production skills

• Will be highly motivated and willing to take initiative to creatively solve problems

• Will be deadline conscious, and able to handle multiple assignments

• Will have ability to proof read for spelling, grammar, accuracy and clarity of final copy

• Will have experience with social media platforms like Twitter, Linked-In and Facebook
