Lead Developer Designer
Manufacutring Solution Designer

This position requires a detail oriented self-motivated individual for technical software design, implementation, and support of application solutions for Manufacturing (MFG). Position will be required to work with business user community to develop scaleable software solutions to solve business issues and implement new processes as well as integrate efficiencies in existing systems.

Accountabilities

- Develop functional software specifications and work with technical resources to complete software object development and testing. Ensures that software assignments are delivered on time by participating in project/planning meetings.

- Gather and document technical business requirements. Participates in user requirements gathering with business subject matter experts.

- Detailed technical understanding of business processes and how the manufacturing applications support the business processes. Works on project assignments, or issues of high complexity that require knowledge across MFG modules

- Understands the dependencies and interrelationships between MFG software systems

- Designs software solutions and troubleshoots problems with MFG software systems. Work closely with business to provides alternative software solutions based on best practices. Assures alignment with Deluxe corporate architecture. Helps create software test scripts and participates in integration testing with appropriate end-user and technical groups.

- Supports existing software systems from Application Development perspective.

- Works with Deluxe outsource providers as they analyze and resolve reported issues. Works with outsourced staff on-shore and off-shore to support and develop solutions for manufacturing systems. Helps to ensure MFG software systems availability is at or above committed service levels (SLA's)

- Stays current on software products, tools, and best practices

- Ensures all processes are in compliances with Deluxe Corporation's policies and procedures, including SOX and record retention processes

- Skilled in DB queries and DB platforms in SQL, Oracle, and DB

REQUIRED:

- 4-6 years experience developing software using C#.net , C++, Java Programming Languages.

- Experience overseeing all of the onshore and offshore development through the outsource vendor.

- Excellent communication skills at all levels (executive leadership, staff, project managers, architects, analysts)

- Experience with production support of SW systems

- Experience leading and mentoring developers
