Microsoft Amalga (

) is a suite of enterprise health intelligence products that are being deployed at hundreds of top hospitals worldwide. The Amalga Unified Intelligence System aggregates data in near real-time from hundreds of clinical and administrative systems and provides doctors, nurses, hospital technicians and researchers with instant access to comprehensive information about patients. The platform enables enterprise customers and development partners to manage, configure and customize the system to enable several healthcare enterprise scenarios. We are at an early stage product with ambitious growth targets and an engineering team distributed in Redmond, Washington DC and Beijing.

We are looking for an experienced Software Design Engineer Lead in Test (SDET Lead) to build a small team of senior SDETs from scratch to own testing and automation frameworks strategy for critical features on the Platform Team. The features on this team span the following areas in the Amalga platform: middle tier, security, user authentication and authorization, application platform and data connectivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with senior leaders in engineering team to own core platform features in a startup environment that is very agile and dynamic as Amalga adoption is starting to take-off

• Build a strong, dynamic and scalable engineering team from scratch

• Work closely with direct reports to ensure high quality testing required to build a scalable and performant enterprise platform

• Contribute to long term engineering strategy and infrastructure that can scale to meet our needs over the next 3 to 5 years

• Drive a culture of strong engineering practices across the team

Skills Required:

• Willingness to work hands-on in a variety of engineering problem spaces

• Strong CS fundamentals (data structures and operating systems concepts in particular)

• Experience with testing scalable and performant enterprise software

• Experience with designing and developing platform software to test features in a core platform area

• Experience with managing ICs particularly technical Senior band ICs

• Good understanding of Windows, particularly areas related to Security, AD/LDAP, and IIS

• Good understanding of SQL, OLEDB, ADO.Net, ASP.Net, Entity framework, and WCF data services
