There are two different types of development positions available, both are listed below as #1 and #2.

Our client, a leader in web monitoring products, is in a period of growth and adding Linux Developers to its dedicated team. This company has doubled in size in the last year and offers both a cutting edge technical environment and a lack of red tape opening up creative freedom for you!

We are currently seeking Software Engineers to develop Web-based applications. We desire experience in cross-platform development (Windows/Linux) with a strong mix of application development and back-end systems coding. Candidates must be adept in design and creative and forward thinking with expert knowledge of software and systems engineering.

Position #1:

Description

Development Tasks

- Application development in JavaScript
- Application development in C++) in Windows/Linux/Unix (X11)
- Back-end development in C/C++ under Unix-like systems
- Front-end development in C++ in Windows
- GUI design
- Shell scripting (testing, build process)
- Extending/Patching Firefox (C++)

Skills Required

- C++ with a focus on application development
- Diverse development experience, encompassing multiple technologies, languages and OS
- Skills in JavaScript are a plus, but not Web development
- Experience with different languages and OS throughout career
- Very good OOP skills (language-independent)
- Network/Socket programming
- UI design
- Solid knowledge of HTTP(S)
- Solid knowledge of network related topic (Sockets, TCP/UDP, SSL, routing, ...)
- Working knowledge of HTML (again no Web development)
- Solid knowledge of Windows/Linux internals

Position #2

Summary

Enhance and maintain application website monitoring software. The application includes back-end work on the distributed component for monitoring customer web transactions and alerting on error and front-end work on the component used for configuring customer transactions and reporting results. Technologies used include TCP/IP and HTTP protocols, Perl, XML, JSON, HTML, Javascript and CSS.

Requirements

1. A minimum of 4 years of experience with TCP/IP and HTTP protocols, Perl, XML, JSON, HTML, Javascript and CSS.

2. Diverse development experience, encompassing multiple technologies: multiple languages and operating systems.

3. Involvement in application development from design through implementation (full life cycle).
