Linux (Redhat) Engineer x 4 - Contract / Gempool / Athlone, Westmeath, Ireland

Gempool/Athlone, Westmeath, IrelandAs part of a migration to Linux we have a requirement for 4 experienced Linux engineers for 4 - 6 months on site in Athlone, Ireland
As the Linux Engineer you must have 5+ years experience.
Skills Required:
•Good background in Linux (Redhat). Experience with (but not limited to) NFS, SSH, DNS, NTP, DHCP and SMF required.
•Advanced unix scripting ability, preferably in bash. Competence in using functions, regular expressions, error handling and signal handling is required. Scripts should be concise, robust and easily followed by others.
•Experience with developing software in a team. Using source code control tools, performing code reviews and attending product development workshops are among the day to day activities.
•The ability to analyse a high level description of new product features and deliver high quality scripts and documents in a timely manner.
•Clear and concise technical writing. The ability to document procedures clearly for people who are not very familiar with the product.
•Experience with LDAP an advantage especially SunDS or OpenDj
•Experience with citrix on unix and windows platforms.
•Java 1.5/1.6 experience
•Good troubleshooting skills; the ability to debug problems in a timely manner either on internal test servers of external customer servers.
• The ability to drive internal improvements within Cominf - especially in the areas of continuous integration for test and Agile work practices.
