Manager, Partner Integration / Elsevier / New York, NY
Elsevier/New York, NYThe Manager, Partner Integration will promote Elsevier's new Application Marketplace and Developer Network to developers around the globe by leading the partner integration efforts, and implement high-impact programs to bring in new developers/partners and assuring their business and technical success.
On-boarding Partners:
· Actively seek new opportunities for alliances and conduct due diligence to identify partnership opportunities
· Secure commitments from prospective partners to build applications and be the key relationship holder during application development process
· Bring to bear key developer partners on board and successfully commission on boarding, kick start the app development process and transition to Applications Marketplace team
· Maintain and administer external partnership policies and procedures, and ensure that partners are well-informed about various features of the platform and new releases
· Explore opportunities to set up a key influencer group among the partners to facilitate ideation
Market Development:
· Create detailed analysis for partners within NA, EMEA and APAC regions providing market opportunity, market size of potential applications (and revenue), and prioritize developer partners by segments and disciplines
· Develop a framework to inform the strategy on the issue of scalability and sustainability of applications including their maintenance and support from developer partners
· Plan and organize road shows and events to promote and showcase partners
Driving Innovation:
· Develop the business plan for Innovation Fund to attract high potential applicants to develop applications on the Platform
· Design and implement Internship Program with key strategic Academic partners
· Implement Courses on Web Applications with strategic Academic partners

Qualifications
Key Competencies:
Excellent oral and written communications skills, very strong presentation skills, good interpersonal and relationship building skills; team player. Flexible, organized and able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Experience in serving the global market (outside the home country) is a plus. Fluent in English.
Technical Skills:
Passionate about technology and emerging web trends. 5+ years of relevant experience in the software/information industry (internet, Web 2.0, web applications, online media etc.), of which at least 2 years in platform integration, business development and/or technical evangelism role with some web development background. Has a very strong technical understanding of APIs, SDKs, and web applications and can articulate to the developer partners through online and direct communication channels. Experience in conducting business due diligence and alliances is an added plus.
Required Education and Experience:
University Degree or equivalent (business, engineering, or computer science). Background of working with research/academic community a big plus.
