IT Mobility Specialist

As the IT Mobility Specialist you will be responsible for supporting Taleo's mobile voice and data devices (cellular, smartphones and broadband cards) deployed across the organization, both domestic and international.  You will procure, receive and configure new devices, reconfigure existing devices, upgrade hardware & software, configure mobile firewall devices, and support devices in operation across the organization.  You will be responsible for assigning, tracking and reporting on all mobility assets in Taleo's mobility asset management system, “Mobility Central.†Our IT Mobility Specialist will assist in the evaluation of carriers and mobility cost analysis and negotiation; while working with domestic and international vendors on an ongoing basis to provide overall order fulfillment.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1.     Device Troubleshooting. Assist clients with configuring devices, determine causes of problems, exhibit excellent problem solving skills while troubleshooting voice/data connectivity and configuration issues and providing end-user training on features and functionality of their mobile devices.

2.     Vendor Management.  Engage carriers on behalf of Taleo to assist with account changes, password resets, and to arrange replacement of devices when needed. Interact and maintain vendor relationship with various telecom carriers both domestic and international.

3.     Research and Development. Become a technical and usability expert on various mobile devices. Stay abreast of new technologies and trends. Serve as a subject matter expert to our employees. Review and analyze new mobility technologies as requested by IT management.

4.     Order Processing. Process Move, Add, Change, and Disconnect requests for Taleo's carriers both domestic and international. Enter orders via phone or into carrier management web sites for order completion.

5.     Mobile Asset Deployment and Maintenance. Coordinate service and delivery dates of new mobile devices; ensure it coincides with departmental and individual needs. Ensure that all customer milestones and deliverables are met in a timely manner, including time-sensitive changes. Proactively adjust plans for international travel, and monitor travel patterns related to company events.

6.     Inventory Management. Maintain worldwide device inventory using Taleo's mobility tracking database, Mobility Central, including full change history and transaction records. Provide monthly reporting on trends related to mobility provisioning and usage.

7.     Billing. Review mobility billing monthly to ensure proper invoicing. Apply real time adjustments to employee plans to ensure optimal coverage and service. Partner with Accounts Payable to resolve intermittent billing issues.

8.     Customer Communication. Interact effectively with non-technical users and build proactive working relationships with business partners. Clearly define and update Taleo's corporate mobility policy, work closely with Corporate IT and business units to ensure implementation and compliance.

9.     Reporting.

On a monthly basis, report a summary of mobile device usage with various vendors utilizing automation tools, spreadsheets and vendor management web sites.  Update dashboard report monthly. Partner with Accounts Payable to validate proper cost centers and charge back process.

Report overages and suspicious mobile device usage to IT management.

10.   Perform other assigned tasks.

Qualifications:
Qualifications

The IT Mobility Specialist has the following knowledge and/or skills:

•  2 year associates degree in business, technology or management preferred

• 1-2 years experience in various telecommunication technologies, including local, long distance, data, internet and wireless

• Control and configuration experience with the following mobile device models: Blackberry smartphones, iPhone , 3G broadband devices; specialized technical training for mobility a plus
• Intermediate level experience with Excel, including ability to produce pivot tables, graphs, etc…
• Previous experience with mobility management and remote troubleshooting of mobile devices

• Knowledge of Blackberry Enterprise server and Microsoft Active Sync

• Desire to build a deep knowledge around mobile devices and technologies

• Experience with wireless carrier provisioning and wireless ordering and escalation processes

• Customer Service aptitudes

• Vendor management skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to self prioritize and exceptional organizational skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines a MUST
