Archdiocese of Washington/Hyattsville, MDPosition Purpose
Create, design, edit, and deliver high-level multimedia presentations including Flash movies, video and podcasts for internet, social and new media platforms. Provide audio editing, web design, multimedia programming and other production services.
Minimum Qualifications
• Practicing Catholic in good standing with knowledge and understanding of the faith
• Bachelor's degree Computer Graphics, Multimedia Design, Animation, Interactive Technologies, or related field.
• 5 years directly related experience
• years direct experience producing polished, professional multimedia and websites
• 3 years experience using Actionscript 3.0 and other web languages (must be a proficient Actionscript 3.0 programmer and provide demos)
• 3D Modeling and advanced special effect experience a plus
• Ability to create multimedia products from start to finish, including coding, graphics, special effects, and editing audio and video
• Superior understanding of web technologies, especially advanced Flash skills with the use of APIs to accomplish website, social networking and mobile integrations
• Ability to prioritize workload, successfully apply multi-tasking, organizational and time-management skills to accurately meet goals and tight deadlines
Some Duties and Responsibilities
• Produce multimedia presentations and interactive applications for website, social network and mobile distribution
• Provide creative and technically competent new media solutions to meet the needs of Evangelization, Outreach and Information
• Provide audiovisual and videography support as needed (editing and distribution via streaming, digital signage, podcasting, etc.)
• Develop measurements of success based on both industry standards and original concepts that integrate across multiple platforms
