Nerve.com Needs an Astute Product Development Intern (Paid) (SoHo)
Nerve.com is looking for an astute and technically inclined Product Development intern to help create an exciting new social media related product.
We are an award-winning web site producing original content covering the lives and interests of culturally obsessed men and women in their 20s and 30s. Nerve celebrates the sexiness, humor, and challenges of being single with its true stories, smart pop culture coverage, blogs, and advice. We're home to about 1.5 million monthly readers.
If you're smart, versatile, thrive on pop culture, love to be in the scene and have the talent to match, then we want you in our Soho loft. We're looking for candidates with sharp analytical skills, an aptitude for problem solving and close attention to detail. You should know your way around the Internet and its technologies, and have some experience in research. You should also have advanced Excel, Powerpoint and social media skills. Background in web design, development and product management is a big plus, but not mandatory.
You might work on developing feature requirements, wireframes, researching APIs, testing and collecting user feedback. If you have the skills, you might even have the opportunity to write some code.
We're flexible with student schedules, but three to five days a week is what we are asking. Pay is about $600-$1000 month. Most importantly this is a chance to have fun doing something you love. Your opinions will be heard and valued, and you have the opportunity to contribute to something really big in the making. Sound great? Then tell us about you -- a resume and a cover letter that tells us why you would like to do this. Text of cover letter needs to be in the body of email and not as an attachment, otherwise it may not get read.
