Yoh/Wilmington, DEYoh has a contract to hire opportunity for an Oracle Database DW/BI and ETL Informatica Developer to join our client in Wilmington, DE. Job Responsibilities:

- You'll join a world-class Data Warehouse / BI Team and enjoy the freedom to engage in end-to-end Oracle Data Warehouse, Data Mart, and ETL Development, including requirements gathering, database architecture, design, business stakeholder meetings, and project status communication. 
- Make a difference: Play a key role in designing and customizing architecture of highly innovative ETL and Oracle RDBMS projects.  Perform application software and data reporting process enhancements, change requests, impact analysis, cost and effort estimates.   Write SQL, PL/SQL code, stored procedures and packages.
- Your experience counts: Analyze Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence Reporting Functional Specs provided by Business Users, then create Technical Specifications to design ETL mappings in Informatica, all based on your many years of valuable experience.
- Take on a new challenge: Learn to develop mappings with XML transformations (normalized and de-normalized views) such as update strategy, aggregator, expression, and joiner.
- Provide value and gain respect: Install, create, and manage Informatica Web Services, to publish ad-hoc ETL jobs; educated business users in use of ad-hoc jobs that can be run on-the-fly, as needed to provide valuable customer data and support informed decision-making throughout the organization and beyond.
- Follow ETL Best Practices, including common shared location source and target definitions, reusable objects (worklets), session partitions, and flat file usage for temp storage and data processing.
- Keep your Data Modeling skills fresh: Develop logical and physical data models using Erwin. Convert incoming data from Logical to Physical design, define data types, constraints, indexes, schema, and automated triggers.
- Automate with UNIX scripts for FTP, Parameter Files, PMCMD scripts for triggering Informatica workflows.
- Analysis, design, development, testing and implementation of transformations and workflows for extracting data from multiple enterprise and smaller, proprietary data sources.
- Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) Services: Develop extraction mappings to load data from source all the way through staging to Data Warehouse.
- Develop procedures to populate the customer data warehouse with transaction, cycle, summary, and historical data.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize SQL queries.  Tune Informatica and fine-tune the transformations to make them more efficient.  Learn to utilize dynamic cache memory and index cache to improve performance.

Job Qualifications:

- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science not required, but preferred.  High energy professional with goals and a service-oriented demeanor.
- 3 years ETL experience (non-exclusive) with SQL performance tuning and 5 years of experience in database systems.
- Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence database reporting experience in an Oracle environment.
- Informatica, ERwin (a plus), XML, UNIX, PL/SQL, FTP, Mercury Quality Center, Microsoft Project Server, CVS, Oracle 11g/10g/9i, TOAD, Microsoft Visio, some MS SQL Server.
- Nice to have, but not required: 2+ years of ETL experience with any of the following: Informatica PowerCenter (8.6, 8.5.1, 7.1) and PowerMart 6.2/5.1 in developing ETL mappings with Designer (Source Analyzer, Mapping designer, Mapplet Designer, Transformation Developer), Repository Manager, Workflow Manager & Workflow Monitor. 
- Experience in handling multiple projects, including some experience as a team lead.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong desire to achieve specified goals.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, including experience creating and presenting proposals.
- Knowledge of various SDLC methodologies and familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Good team player as well as individual contributor.
