PHP Web Developer (Woodland Hills)

Small Ball Internet, an established company in the e-commerce business for more than 10 years is seeking a web developer to join our small team of experienced developers on a full time permanent basis. The right person will be offered a competitive salary and the ability to work in an evolving and challenging workspace. Competitive salary package - $70,000 - $100,000 per year DOE depending on experience

Required Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of PHP 5 - Minimum of 3 years experience

Strong Object Oriented Programming Skills

Understanding of MVC Paradigm

Working knowledge of MySQL 5

Comfortable working in a UNIX/Linux environment

Good understanding of the LAMP stack

Bonus points for:

Experience with Flash applications development using Actionscript and/or the FLEX Framework

Experience with other OO languages (C++, Java, Python)

Experience with ffmpeg and it's PHP extension

Experience with implementing web services using REST, SOAP or XML-RPC interfaces

Solid understanding of semantic, standards compliant HTML and CSS, with a focus on browser compatibility

Solid understanding of the jQuery and jQueryUI Javascript libraries

Raw DOM/Javascript manipulation

Computer science degree or related field

Responsibilities:

Work closely with our small team of developers to deliver the best product

Developing a range of websites to be used to display our product

Integrating third party systems and web services into our systems

Creating tools for administering and assessing revenue as well as reporting systems

Provide unit tests for your work
