Seeking presentation layer focused web developer. I need someone who has working knowledge of the HTML5boilerplate environment and individual concepts. These are:1) HTML52) CSS33) Modernizr4) jQueryTo prove that you do, please send me a link to a project that I can evaluate source. One good project is all I need, though more are welcome. Tell me what you were involved in for this project. Say things like..1) CSS mostly with some HTML2) CSS and HTML for several sections (name them)3) I worked on CSS HTML and jQuery/Javascript4) I built this site from the ground up including applying HTML5boilerplateTechnologyKnow HTML5. Understand the appropriate use of elements like section, article and mark, have plans for how you would use the canvas element or examples. Understand how to implement Modernizr, PIE and others to force compatibility.Must have read HTML5 for Web Designers by Jeremy Keith. I’m looking for someone who’s paid attention to the evolution of the HTML spec and pays attention to consistent usage and semantically correct markup.Know Javascript and jQuery. Have examples where you’ve implemented jQuery UI controls. I’m looking for someone who has examples that they themselves think are awesome because they solved a unique problem using complex javascript, JSON or jQuery. Please be comfortable working with javascript.Know CSS3 and CSS2. I need someone who’s known CSS2 forever, and now knows CSS3 to the point of having used it on websites you’ve coded. Again, it’d be nice if you’ve read Dan Cederholm’s CSS3 for Web Designers.Work on a Mac and have access to the Adobe Creative Suite. I’d prefer if I were able to ask you to cut images yourself from source PSD and Illustrator files. This is not 100% necessary.IntangiblesThis is a web production gig. However, design skill is valued. I pay attention to type, white-space, simplicity, and color. The right person would perform some unique design.Paying attention to detail is why I get business. I’m looking for someone who appreciates the process of studying wireframes or comps and creating pixel perfect matches while respecting form and behavior specifications.Know about web standards. I’m looking for a person who, like me, reads A List Apart, pays attention to the community and understands what accessibility and forward compatibility goals are there for. Nice to have Know webkit specific mobile device coding techniques. My clients are interested in mobile ready web apps built in HTML5 and created for use on the iPad and iPhone.I’d like someone to help me take web apps a bit further onto these devices. I’m speaking specifically of web applications delivered to devices via web browser. Rarely will we be compiling and submitting apps to the app store though experience here is also valued.Ability to handle tasks outside of a web code environment. Work with search engines, sitemap.xml, and hosts are examples of this kind of work. Be an active mind. LogisticsYou will access development via FTP. You will work on multiple projects. It would be ideal for you to have an amount of hours available weekly. Please include your hourly rate. I realize people are flexible and do work in other compensation models. I will ask for estimates and concern myself with time and materials rather than fixed bid endeavors. For this reason, it’s simple. You must put your bill rate into your reply.
