Job Description
This position will provide project management for IT related projects in IT Fulfillment. This job will coordinate all activities related to the IT deliverables of a project and be the focal point for all communications, status, budget and schedules. One or more projects could be managed concurrently.
Responsibilities & Skills:
· Owns the overall project scope, schedule and resources for projects with a large level of complexity, scope, spend and resources required
· Experience in leading large/intermediate size projects which could have a high degree of complexity, high risk, significant business change, high profile and will span multiple business and functional boundaries
· Develops, executes, coordinates and monitors overall project plans, tasks and milestones
· Monitors and manages overall project financials within the approved budget
· Ensures each project continues to be viable when measured against its business case
· Implements issue and risk management processes to capture, report and monitor and resolve issues, risks and assumptions
· Implements and manages the change management process
· Develops implements and executes project communication plan (who/what/when/where/why/how)
· Provides status updates to executive and project sponsor(s), steering committee, stakeholders and business owners
· Ensures all project team members understand project approach, methodologies to be used and standards to be followed
· Addresses and resolves any project team issues
· Provides performance feedback to project team members
· May have responsibility for managing other project managers
· Determines project organization and communicates team roles/responsibilities
· Ensures that project team members have skills appropriate for the project
· Ensures that project is aligned with business and IT strategies and business drivers
· Addresses any remote communication issues for offsite project team members
Required:
· BA Degree in Business, Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience, professional certification in Project Management preferred
· 10+ years experience in IT Program/Project Management
· Experience and proficient use of Project management Tools
· Experience working with outsource vendors (onshore and offshore) or managing projects
· Experience managing application development projects in (java or .net)
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
· Strong time management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines
· Skilled at meeting or exceeding goals, consistently delivering expected results
· Effective facilitation skills in project related meetings
· Demonstrates superior verbal and written communication skills
· Proven ability to work in a fast paced, self directed, high intensity, performance-driven environment
· Responsible with confidential data and situations
· Demonstrated ability to deal with high levels of ambiguity; comfortable handling risk
