SRC is currently seeking a principal systems integration and test engineer for our radar programs.

SRC has developed several new radar systems over the past 10 years. One example is the Lightweight Counter-Mortar Radar, which was identified as a U.S. Army's Top 10 Greatest Invention for 2005. The radar's unique lightweight, portable design and 360-degree coverage has made it critical in protecting U.S. forces abroad. Other radar systems are also in various stages of development. The successful candidate will lead the systems integration and test effort on these new radar systems.

Responsibilities

- Focal point of responsibility for accomplishing, organizing, coordinating, directing, and planning the integration and test activities for rradar programs. Responsible for coordinating and interfacing with customer I&T personnel including presentations at major program reviews
- Lead engineering test dry runs, Test Readyness Reviews, and formal customer testing at SRC and in the field
- Perform data analysis, trade studies, and prepare test briefings.
- Deliver high quality products using requirements development and management
- Generate test plans, test procedures, and test reports along with requirements verification matrixes
- Train and mentor hardware, software and system junior engineers on test and integration troubleshooting
- Participate in technical interchange meetings between the test team, other engineering disciplines, subcontractors and the customer

Position Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, physics or related engineering degree (master's degree desired) with at least ten years or more of related integration and test experience with complex electronic systems
- Proven ability to integrate and test complex field deployed radar systems
- Must understand integration and test best practices and implementation
- Highly motivated and passionate about testing
- Strong analytical and teamwork skills are preferred
- Must be familiar with various pieces of RF test equipment
- Knowledge of configuration management, automatic testing tools, and process standards (such as CMMI, DO178B)
- Experience with Matlab
- Must have mechanical aptitude; be self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision and oversight
- Must be an excellent technical writer capable of capturing complex ideas and concepts in technical reports, documents, and presentations
- At least 25 percent travel across the U.S. leading/supporting a variety of test activities
