Programmer/Analyst
The purpose of this role is to develop, optimize and maintain various applications to support a research team that is devising and testing new approaches to trading.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Developing and maintaining high-performance investment applications in a variety of programming languages such as Java and C++, including using proprietary tools.
• Working closely with Analysts and other groups to provide software solutions.
• Monitor performance of programs after implementation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application problems.
• Design, code and test new applications.
Requirements of the Candidate include:
• Degree in Computer Science or closely related field
• Java programming experience. C++ experience is a plus
• GUI development experience, Java Swing or QT
• Database development experience
• Experience with UNIX and/or Linux systems
• Web development experience is a plus
• Flexibility in a variety of programming languages
• 3 years experience, co-op terms accepted as experience
