Project Manager needed for Publishing Giant (Midtown)

Online Publishing Company seeks a Project Manager for an immediate long term temp position. This position is part time (25-30 hours per week).

The Project Manager will be responsible to analyze and document software requirements for online quizzing and assessments. Working with the Product Manager, the Project Manager will define requirements, write functional specifications, and use case definitions, incorporating input from inventors, publishers, and software developers. The Project Manager will track the progress of a growing list of online quizzing products built on the company's platform, and will prepare weekly progress reports.

Responsibilities include:

-Work closely with Inventors, faculty, Product Manager, and Assistant Product Manager to understand and document requirements

-Write functional specifications

-Define and document use cases

-Work with software architects to map requirements tot he technical specifications

-Manage schedules, resources, and expectations

-Prepare weekly progress repots for editorial and technical teams

Required Skills/Knowledge

-Familiarity with the tools and protocols used for developing software applications: usability, software development life cycle (SDLC), QA, business analysis

-Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project

-Exceptional communication, project management, and organizational skills

-Ability to work independently

-Ability to manage across multiple divisions: developers, inventors, Product Manager

-2-3 years project management experience

-Bachelor's Degree
