Publishing Giant seeks Senior Digital Trainer (Flatiron)

Publishing Giant located in the midtown seeks a Senior Digital Trainer for an immediate long term temp position. This position has a strong possibility of becoming permanent.

Position Description:

Designs and delivers classroom, one-on-one and distance technical and soft skill training sessions to publisher staff, with an emphasis on marketing. Creates, edits and maintains software, system, and processes-related documentation and training materials. Participates peripherally in digital marketing projects for the purposes of developing training curriculums, including identifying training needs during the requirements phase, participating in train-the-trainer events, and reviewing training material provided by the vendor

Major Responsibilities:

• Delivers classroom training, one-on-one and distance training sessions and ensures knowledge transfer to attendees

• Participates in all relevant projects, coordinating with partner vendors on training needs assessment, development of role-based curriculum

• Works collaboratively with publishers and independently to develop and standardize course outlines and training materials for classes

• Designs, develops and maintains training documentation including: user guides (quick reference cards, quick tips, software manuals); CBT (computer-based training); online help and web pages

• Formulates, develops and communicates new training initiatives and assists in maintaining online training registration and information database

• Provides third level support to end users on systems where training has been provided, evaluates and tests new LMS software as needed

Required Skills / Knowledge:

• Ability to work effectively with people at all levels within the organization

• Ability to quickly learn new software while managing assigned tasks on short notice

• Knowledge of digital marketing-specific tools and software including: CRM/MCCM, Web Analytics, Enterprise Email Fulfillment, Ecommerce, Content Management Solutions

• Group work and facilitation skills

• Can anticipate user needs and develop training curriculum to address these needs

• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint

Experience Needed:

• 3-5 years of Corporate Training experience

• Experience working with web-based training solutions including WebEx, SharePoint

• Track record of producing quality documentation quickly with minimal supervision

• Experience developing and implementing CLE and/or CEU specific training

• Experience in designing and/or delivering soft skills training

• Experience in designing and maintaining web pages

Educational Background Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree
