RF Systems Engineer / Yoh / Canada

Yoh/Canada (Cupertino, )Yoh has a contract to hire opportunity for a RF Systems Engineer to join our client in Cupertino, CA.
Job Overview
As an Engineer you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive and design innovative consumer products. You will work closely with an internal inter-disciplinary team, and outside partners to drive key aspects of product definition, execution and test. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.
Job Responsibilities

- As part of the systems engineering team, you will be responsible for RF and wireless integration. This may include the development and optimization of various wireless technologies including 802.11, CDMA, UMTS and Bluetooth.
- Work within a project team and take responsibility for the RF implementation.
- Meet with vendors and technology suppliers to select components.
- Implement, validate and optimize the RF hardware.
- Take the product development from concept, through development, compliance testing, operator testing, ramp and sustaining.
- Support the manufacturing and manufacturing test of the product.
- Work with Software, PD, baseband and compliance teams.
- Design world class hardware, and, if applicable, software/firmware.
- Interact with cross functional engineering teams across the company.
- Participate in design reviews.
- Address all aspects of technology readiness, including manufacturability.

Job Qualifications

- 5+ years experience in RF design related to GSM/UMTS cellular products.
- Schematic capture and layout expertise.
- Record of successful product launch as part of product teams.
- Have contacts with key technology suppliers in the RF space.
- DFM and high volume manufacturing support experience.
- Methodical and scientific test and measurement approach.
- Strong analytical skill.
- Experience with various RF equipment.
- Strong background in RF development for cellular products.
- Adept with MS office including excel.
- Bachelors degree in Electronic Engineering. Masters Degree Preferred.
