SAP Basis Administrator / Yoh / West Chester, PA
Yoh/West Chester, PAYoh has a contract to hire opportunity for a SAP Basis Administrator to join our client in the West Chester, PA area.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform system migrations and transition activities to jumpstart client initiatives
- Will develop and maintain technical documentation - this includes installation guides, upgrade guides, deployment guides, and other technical manuals
- Develop strategies, standards, and best practices for using the latest SAP products, virtualization, and other technologies
- Support various groups (from creating new SAP clients and trouble-shooting problems to developing comprehensive technical strategies and landscape designs).
- Supporting clients with support in areas of BASIS infrastructure with installations, maintenance, SAP strategies and other related BASIS functions.
- Manage various projects, and serve as point of contact support for all project related issues
Job Qualifications:
- Must have experience performing installations, integration, upgrades and patch applications to SAP software products, including ERP, BW, CRM, SCM, SRM, XI, Portals, MDM, GRC and other SAP components
- Experience working within a mixed server environment covering both UNIX and Wintel servers using Oracle, SAPDB, DB2, and SQL Server databases
- Experience with DBA and SAP administration functions including security, transport (TMS) configuration and execution, patch maintenance, problem debugging, and applying OSS notes
- Extensive experience in installing, configuring, administering, and troubleshooting NetWeaver products, in both UNIX and Wintel environments (5 years minimum)
- Extensive experience performing system migrations both homogeneous and heterogeneous
- Experience with various full life cycle implementations
Preferred Job Skills / Experience / Knowledge:
- Virtualization (VMWare) and cloud computing skills
- SAP J2EE engine knowledge
- SAP Basis certification a plus
