Position Description
This role involves the Integration of Security Administration functions in both Mainframe and distributed systems. The Security Administration team covers Firmwide control function for Privileged Access Administration, Exceptions Management, and Mainframe Entitlement Administration.

The candidate will be responsible to integrate services for the operational security administration team by defining processes and procedures that validate, track, and report on privileged access and exception grants, revokes and suspensions. The candidate will help in assessing technical solutions to technology issues, and suggest recommendations for resolution while ensuring adherence to the firm's security guidelines, policies, and standards.

The candidate will work within the IT Security organization, and interface frequently with internal clients who submit work requests. The candidate will interact with a variety of teams across the Firm, including the Information Security Office, Risk, Audit, infrastructure and application development. This is an auditable function and will need to adhere to the Firm's internal SOX controls and other regulatory requirements.

The candidate will be part of a global team (operating across 5 offices in 4 countries) and must be comfortable working in a distributed team environment.

Skills Required

Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

• Provide subject matter expertise in services provided by the team
• Identify invalid service requests and work with the requestor to understand the required changes to existing process and procedures
• Identify and implement process and procedural changes to services provided
• Maintain department wide documentation and procedures
• Participate in report reviews and escalate and address any anomalies
• Participate in continuous improvement of all services
• Participate in Business Continuity tests
• Occasional travel may be required
• Moderate client interaction with heavy interaction with other IT Teams

Skills Desired
University degree or 6 to 10 years of working experience, preferably in an IT Security or Information Security field

Understanding of security principles and security administration concepts and associated technologies, including
• Windows and Linux operating system basics
• Managing user accounts in operating systems, web applications, databases, and other common computing systems
• Strong understanding and exposure to security governance including the definition, implementation, and adherence to security policies, guidelines, and standards.
• Understanding of least privilege and being able to identify when a user may have too much access
• Understanding of how job responsibilities should relate to information sensitivity
• Entitlements systems and models

Process skills
• Exposure to process methodologies, process improvement approaches
• Hands-on involvement in process design, development, and integration

Service Management and Operational methodologies
• Exposure to ITIL or similar methodologies
• Worked in an operational environment or in the delivery of services for operational support team

• Mainframe experience helpful but not necessary
• Financial services experiences preferred
• Global team working experiences preferred
• Capable of working independently with limited oversight
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Must be a team player and foster a team first environment and culture
• Motivated self starter with a passion for learning
