Currently, SRC is seeking a technical security engineer to perform security assessments of customer systems to ensure that technical enforcement of prescribed customer and NIST 800-53A has been implemented in their information systems. These individuals will be part of a team that provides a technical in-depth analysis of customer information systems utilizing their technical security expertise. Potential locations for these positions are Chantilly, VA; Washington, D.C. and Hanover, MD, but all would require travel to D.C. two to three times per week.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
- Perform in-depth technical security analysis and review of information systems compliance with U.S. Government FISMA Security Requirements (NIST 800-53A)
- Perform in-depth security technical analysis and review of systems built upon Linux and Windows Operating Systems
- Perform in-depth security technical analysis and review of systems built upon SQL and Oracle Databases
- Perform in-depth security technical analysis and review of web-based applications
- Provide technical security engineering recommendations in support of remediation and mitigation activities
- Collect data, analyze, prescribe corrective actions and make risk recommendations through standard reporting processes
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems Security, or relevant degree; and three or more years experience in the Information Technology (IT) security engineering career field
- CISSP, CISA, CISM, ISSEP, NSA-IAM certifications desired
- Approximately 25 percent travel required annually
- SSCP, GIAC certifications or other relevant technical certifications a plus'
