Yoh/New York, NYYoh has a long term contract to hire opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst with financial services background to join our client in NYC.
Job Overview:
Our client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst for Back office Settlement and Clearing. The ideal candidate will have a strong Financial Services background, with knowledge of Settlements & Clearing of Equity Products. The right candidate will have a solid technical underpinning to be able to work with both development teams and stake holders.
Job Responsibilities:

- Process Definition
- Interviewing Business Users
- Documentating Processes and Functionality
- Issue/Risk Identification & Clarification

Job Qualifications:

- Experience working in trade execution and settlement. With a focus on:

- Front Office Technologies and Processes - Trading and Execution, Performance and decision support
- Market & Counterparty data
- Compliance and Legal - pre-trade, post-trade, regulatory.

- Prime Brokerage or other finance industry experience.

- Able to adapt to different project styles
- A senior leader with experience in conflict resolution and influencing
- Understands importance of communication and is able to communicate effectively
- Good time management skills
- Has a technical background such as experience using and deploying database technologies, programming or technical architecture
- Sponsorship / Stakeholder Identification
- Ability to prioritize work

Essential to the role are:

- Experience with managing small teams on BA's in programme environments
- A understanding of various business analysis techniques and methodologies
- Business Case Definition & Cost Analysis
- Project management principles and a clear understanding of the role of the Business Analyst
- In depth knowledge of the SDLC (Software Development Life-cycle) and the importance of each phase
- Test Case Definition / User Acceptance Test gate
- Strong communication skills - both verbal and written
- Excellent problem solving abilities
- Sound technical understanding of how systems work - with the ability to perform basic SQL and Unix commands.
- A strong appreciation of key business drivers and an understanding of the IT impact upon the business are required
