Confidential/San Jose, CAOur client is a highly respected, market leading, NYSE listed commercial grid tied and utility scale solar system design, manufacture and installation organization expanding rapidly across the global marketplace.

As a result of exceptional demand for our client's products and services, which includes a major supply agreement with one of the world's largest electrical utility companies, this critical senior level engineering position has arisen.

Your responsibilities will include preparing internal interconnection studies and application packages including; power flow analysis & interconnection cost budgeting.

In addition, you will be responsible for liaising with local utilities on their transmission and distribution planning, identifying locations that have minimum interconnection risk and managing the due diligence process.

Successful candidates will a minimum of 3 years as an electrical engineer and be familiar with the operation and planning of electric utilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepare internal interconnection studies; including power flow analysis
• Budget interconnection costs
• Prepare interconnection application packages
• Frequent liaison with local utilities on their transmission and distribution planning
• Providing feedback to utilities on interconnection studies
• Manage the interconnection due diligence process
• Identify locations that have the minimum interconnection risks

REQUIREMENTS
• 3+ years experience as an electrical engineer
• A demonstrable track record in power flow and interconnection report analysis
• Experience of working within an electrical utility transmission and distribution department is highly desirable
• Familiarity with the operation and planning of electric utilities is preferred
• 30% travel
