The individual hired for this position will be the SAP subject matter expert for the HR business processes implemented on SAP. As a senior member of the SAP Services team, the individual will focus on E-Recruiting as well as be very knowledgeable with US Payroll, Benefits and Headcount operations.

They will work in a global support organization with team members in the US and India. This position requires excellent cross-group collaboration skills including excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to organize and coordinate many deliverables at any given time, close attention to detail, and strong communication skills.

Job Responsibilities:

Deliver excellent service and support to internal clients and partners. Position will be responsible for monitoring progress against service level agreements. Position is responsible for ensuring each reported problem is resolved in a timely manner, tracked according to standards, and escalated as appropriate.

Solving high complexity issues, communicating problem resolution and additional information to management, executive leadership, customer groups, project teams and other IT support groups.

Managing specific initiatives designed to enhance the SAP system and increase system supportability and performance.

Partner closely with engineering team to ensure new functionality is supportable/scalable as well as that the functionality is fully tested end to end. Ensure new functionality will not break existing processes by acting as gatekeeper for all changes through the environments.

Facilitating post mortem discussions, investigating root cause analysis and driving the resolution.

Facilitating the quarterly release process - the means by which new functionality and changes are applied to the SAP productions system. Responsibilities include review of Business Unit IT requirements analysis, participation in specification and test plan review. Successful facilitation of this process ensures realistic and practical changes to the SAP environment while meeting the business requirements.

Contribute to Microsoft’s internal SAP knowledge base

Develop strong collaborative relationships with Business Unit IT teams and the business decision makers, to deliver support that exceeds expectations.

Must be able to effectively communicate technical and business problems in a non-technical manner.

Identify functional and technical gaps and work with appropriate teams to find resolution.

Work independently within established guidelines and procedures.

Extended coverage outside of normal work hours may be required.

Unique Job Responsibilities:

Candidates should have expertise in ALE technology to support E-Recruiting functionality.

Program management - Managing internal projects, processes, service, and technology decisions.

Candidates should have expertise in several of the following areas.

Functional experience in SAP E-Recruiting, R/3 Benefits (BN), Payroll (PY), Organizational Mgmt.(OM), Personnel Time (PT) and Administration (PA)

Working knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC)

Human Resource Business Practices (Benefits, Payroll, Organizational Management processes, etc…)

Qualifications Should Include:

A minimum of 5-8 years of demonstrated work experience in SAP (including configuration) and program management for large enterprise systems.

A BA/BS degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business or related field preferred.

The candidate should have excellent written and oral communication skills.

Candidate must have an excellent understanding of Microsoft products, software lifecycle methodology and information systems development and support.

Must be able to participate in a team environment and communicate effectively.

Strong problem resolution, analysis and customer service skills required. Must have ability to exercise sound judgment and decision-making.
