Senior Web Developer (New York) / Magnani Caruso Dutton / New York, NY
Magnani Caruso Dutton/New York, NYWe have an opportunity for an experienced front-end web developer/engineer to join our staff at Magnani Caruso Dutton, a leading independent interactive design and marketing agency located in Manhattan. This position is based in New York and can be full-time, freelance, or freelance to full-time.
First things first. You'll need an excellent command of all facets of front-end web development. It's just as important you have a strong work ethic, are a problem-solving whiz, have notable organizational skills, and above all, are detail-oriented. If you can boldly check off those things, you've already piqued our interest.
Interactive skills are one thing, interaction is another-you'll have strong interpersonal skills, working independently and as part of a team, on top of excellent written communication skills. An ability to discern when to follow strategy and when to propose fresh creative solutions is golden.
If you've had prior experience working for an interactive agency -that's a plus.
Qualifications:
-Rock-solid in front-end development; XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript
-Expert knowledge of at a least one JavaScript library and what it takes to create one
-In-depth knowledge of DOM
-Experience with Eclipse, SVN, and QA tools
-Adobe CS fluency, as relates to front-end development
-Support A-grade browsers and accessibility
-Best SEO coding practices
-PHP and SQL skills a plus
-5+ years of prior agency development experience in internet advertising, product advertising, and/or site development strongly preferred
-Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with computer science specialty; applicable work experience considered
