SQL Server Analysis Services is the cornerstone of the Microsoft strategy in the red hot business intelligence market. The Analysis Services team, having leapfrogged the competition and taken the lead position in the OLAP market, is now looking to achieve new heights. Recently we released a new set of experiences in Excel and SharePoint called “PowerPivot†(http://powerpivot.com) that redefines the business intelligence landscape. The Analysis Services team has a long history of success in the corporate BI space, and we need to bring the power and simplicity of the PowerPivot experience for end-users and the new in-memory engine to the world of professional corporate BI, on-premise, appliance and in the Cloud.

Come join the SQL Server Analysis Services server development team where you can have a huge impact on the design and development of high-performance and scalable mid-tier components that drive the server-side of the OLAP, Data Mining and PowerPivot experiences. As part of DPU initiative for the next-generation SQL, our mid-tier team plays a critical role in delivering our Analysis Services as a box product or appliance, in SharePoint online, and in SQL Azure Cloud. Sound design and problem solving skills are required to build the next-generation connectivity, load-balancing and management service infrastructure for PowerPivot, including extending it to BPOS and SQL Azure. Prior experience in web services, security and SharePoint integration will be highly-valued. The ability to write and debug server-side applications is highly desired.

Basic Qualifications:

3+ years system level development experience using C++, C# or Java

B.S. Computer Science or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong experience w/algorithmic design and data structures

Experience in web services, security and SharePoint integration

M.S. Computer Science
