If so, then this job is for you and our group, Solutions Accelerator for Planning and Operations (SA-PO) is the place for you.

We architect, design, develop, test and release solutions that are directly targeted at solving today's tough challenges for both IT pro and Information Worker helping customers get closer toward realizing the data center of the future vision and transitioning into cloud computing.

These solutions integrate multiple technologies to solve customer's problems and to ensure they get the business value demanded from our products. These solutions target not only end customers, but also, Microsoft's Worldwide Services Organization, our partner channel and ISVs as well.

The SA-PO mission is two-fold; first, solve real world customer problems with solutions, not just products. Second, drive manageability improvements back into the Microsoft product set, including short term bugs/DCRs (Design Change Requests) as well as long term product strategy and feature sets. This role will provide leadership in designing and developing the future versions of SA-PO solutions.

Candidate for this position will specifically work on designing and developing components for a solution which is a highly critical and visible in helping Microsoft with our initial Private Cloud strategy.

Candidate for this solution will also interface with various Microsoft product groups, customers and partners, the Microsoft field and other Microsoft solution groups. This position requires an individual with experience in distributed applications design based on sound software engineering methodologies.

A successful candidate should have a solid software design and development skill set and have experienced at least 2 product ship cycles.

A successful candidate should also have a great interpersonal/communication skills and comfortable in working in a typical team environment which requires very close interactions with PM, Test, UX, UE, other dev team members, etc.

Qualifications for this position include:
• 3+ years of solid experience in C# and .net development
• 2+ years experience in data modeling and XML, XSD, XSLT, XPATH.
• 3+ years of solid experience in distributed application and object oriented design and development
• 2+ years of web development experience (ASP.net, Silverlight, and AJAX)
• Experience in WCF, WF and Web Services is strongly desired
• Proven track record of drive for results and strong ownership of a feature or technology area
• Experience in successfully taking charge of a feature or small project team
• Strong problem solving skills, excellent collaborator, and the ability to drive for results
• Strong ability to communicate effectively with executive staff, both internally and externally
• BS/MS in Computer Science or related technical discipline
• Knowledge of Microsoft Management (SCVMM, SCOM, and SCSM) and Virtualization technologies are a strong plus and greatly desired.
