Software Engineer - PHP/MySql/Framework (LA or Orange County)

We're looking for a killer LAMP programmer with some experience using an edgy and cool PHP framework (preferably Symfony). The ideal candidate knows that MVC stands for Model View Controller and not Mountain View College. If you can do fancy stuff on the front-end in HTML and Javascript, so much the better, but that is not the focus for this position.

A clear understanding of MySql is essential and some experience NoSql databases (Cassandra, MongoDB, etc) would be a feather in your cap. The candidate must have, at some point in their past, fetched data from a web API and done magical things with it.

This is a small company environment so responsibilities will include all aspects of software development. Yes, that includes testing.

Your qualifications should include:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)

* 5+ years of software development experience

* 3+ years PHP/MySql

* 1+ years PHP framework experience

* Source code control (experience with SVN preferred)

* Ability to work individually with minimal direction
