Live@edu is one of Microsoft's key competitive initiatives for the education market (Higher Ed and K-12) with the clear goal of ‘WINNING IWs for LIFE'! We want to win the hearts and minds of students and teachers worldwide through directed delivery of our communication, collaboration, and productivity workloads (with emphasis on our hosted offerings). Our services also need to appeal to the IT administrator who will manage the services in the context of the institution while giving the students / teachers the full spectrum of MS' service offerings both in the institution & individual context. It is a rather complex go to market - that brings together workloads from both MBD and Windows Live in both the organization and individual context. Live@edu v2 was recently launched in 121 markets in 17 languages. Between our main competitor and us, we have barely scratched the surface of the addressable market - 80% of the market is still unclaimed.

What sort of team are we?
We are a small, dynamic team with a challenging environment with lots of room to grow. Our team uses Agile software development practices. SDETs work closely with SDEs to help define test strategy ensuring very high quality of check-ins.

The role
You will be part of the feature crew, working with PM and SDE closely to deliver high quality experience to Live@edu customers. You will be reviewing specs, designing test spec, automating and debugging tests, analyzing code coverage of your features, as well as following bugs diligently to resolution. You will be collaborating closely with your peers within and outside the immediate test group. You will be contributing to automation and infrastructure improvements.

What are we looking for?
Successful candidates should have great design skills and strong object oriented programming experience, particularly in C#. Enthusiasm for testing, debugging, and managing online services is expected. Candidates must be able to ramp up quickly on new technology and thrive in a dynamic and challenging environment. He/she should have strong and collaborative communication skills, as well as good problem solving skills. Experience in UI and API test automation is a great plus.

Requirements:
• 4+ years of testing experience on shipping products/services
• C#, .NET, test automation skills
• Good design and problem solving skills
• Experience with web services, database are plus
• Strong communication and collaborative skills
• Experience with Agile practices also a plus
