As an SDET on the Windows & Windows Live International team, you will work on the next generation of services for software and content localization. These are mission-critical, large scale distributed systems where security, performance, and reliability are all top priority. You will have the opportunity to work with an experienced team of developers, program managers, and testers, utilizing the latest technologies including .Net, WCF, WF, WPF, AJAX, Silverlight,TFS, SQL Server, Visual Studio, and Windows Server technologies.
Candidates should have experience performing test planning and test development, driving test passes, test automation, and utilizing test best practices for major features on a software development team through one or more full product development cycles. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to function autonomously and demonstrate success in a rapidly changing, aggressive release cycle. The candidate will be expected to design test plans, test spec and implement test cases, define automation strategy, engage in implementing test infrastructure and automation systems.
A minimum of 2+ years of relevant industry test experience is required. The candidate will need to demonstrate excellent problem solving techniques, debugging/troubleshooting skills and show great passion for software testing. Localization engineering and release management background is a plus. The candidate must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as demonstrate ability to learn and apply new test techniques quickly. The ideal candidate will also have a sound understanding of Internet technologies (HTML, Web Service, IIS), XML, .NET programming (particularly C#), Source Control and SQL database. A BA/BS in Computer Science or related discipline is required.
