Job Title: Software Development Engineer in Test

Job Purpose

Test

- Responsible for testing new local features are developed in accordance with functional specification requirements. To test in accordance with best practices test procedures for the defined by product lines, and performed within the agreed timeframe. Responsible for testing existing local features and functionality still is working as assumed compared to new releases and new features.

Functional specifications requirements

- Review and actively participate in the functional specification requirements put forward, to ensure that the requirements meets the geographic and market and product lines potential

Test case

- Create, review and perform test cases agreed on

Test automation

- Create automated test cases using NAV test framework and Visual Studio/C#

Knowledge transfer

-Perform training for internal MBS members on new local functionality

PRIMARY CUSTOMERS/CLIENTS

You will be in contact with the Microsoft Business Solutions customers and partners in your local area. Internally you will work closely together with local requirement team, Go-To market, sales, support, product management and other domains experts in your local area. You will have a close collaboration with the product line when it comes to sign off on test cases and best practice rules.

You will also have cooperation with other Microsoft team members from other product units to ensure that the country requirements will help us build strong local and competitive products.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

You will report into the Development Manager in your region within Global Development Localization. You will have several peers around the globe as part of the team.

You will have a close working relationship with the central product lines reviewing test cases to be created by you or your colleague and reviewing functional requirement specification.

Primary Job Functions

Functional test requires the following activities amongst others:

Service Pack upgrade 15%

Testing major release upgrade (including creating test cases) 20%

Testing new functionality (legal updates) 20%

Test automation 20%

Innovation (Improved/New ways of functions/features/test) 10%

Meetings 10%

Communications including internal knowledge transfer 5%

Candidate Profile:

3 – 5 years of related experience

Higher education, field of Study - Business Accounting preferably supplemented with Computer Science studies.

Training or “real†live usages of ERP product required. Certification in an ERP product preferred.

A sound business understanding of usage of ERP systems combined with ability to work in a structured manner.

Accounting skills and understanding is a prerequisite.

A good command of written and spoken English is required.
