Works independently to provide a wide variety of Web Technologies administration services.

A Sr. Web Technologies Administrator facilitates the definition of Web Technologies solutions to meet business requirements and works to develop new and enhance existing architectures/environments. They work in a leadership role to understand application development direction and needs and apply this knowledge to determine design strategies, and make recommendations for implementation of new systems and technologies. They facilitate the design and implementation of Web Technology architecture/infrastructure. They interact with leaders in development, client operations, and ITS infrastructure areas to plan and prioritize work and ensure delivery of business application support, consulting, and implementation. They participate in long term systems and capacity planning and may provide technical leadership and/or management for medium-sized projects. Including complex administrative tasks, resource and capacity administration, product administration and support, leading strategic initiatives, shell scripting, web server administration, maintenance of monitoring and logging systems, and participating in projects sponsored with and by other organizational units (Print, Security, Disaster Recovery, Capacity Planning, Network, SAN/NAS, Database, and various business groups).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent

• 5 years of leadership and technical experience in middleware administration with recognized expertise two or more of the following products deployed at Hewitt (Siteminder Required)

o SSO/Federation (Siteminder, Sun Fed Mgr, Ping Identity Mgr)

o Applications Servers (Websphere, Weblogic, Sun Jas/Jes, JBOSS, Tomcat)

o Webservers (Apache, IHS, iPlanet, Weblogic)

o LDAP (Novel Edirectory, Sun iPlanet)

o Security (Mod_security, Qualsys)

• Strong knowledge of UNIX/Linux, Windows, and Mainframe Deployments

• General Understanding of Network and Database technologies

• Strong understanding of application architecture and technology infrastructure

• 8 or more years experience working with a variety of technology operations disciplines (e.g. operating systems)

• People management and project management experience is a plus.

• Demonstrated ability to translate/communicate complex concepts to peers and business partners

• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment with short deadlines, interruptions, and multiple tasks/projects occurring at once

• Demonstrated ability to leverage and mentor others through technical team leadership

• Advanced degree in Business or Information Technology preferred

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Detail-oriented, organized and capable of prioritizing workload to complete multiple tasks and meet aggressive deadlines

• Create, update or renew SSL certificates

• Write scripts to automate repetitive processes or perform specific functions to increase productivity.

• Ability to work independently and apply sound judgment

• Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively as a member of a team

• Strong technical project management and/or leadership skills including the ability to plan, organize, and control activities

• Ability to identify resources needed to successfully meet requirements

• Experience in customer-focused environment
