Sr. WebSphere/Portal Developer / TEAM / Charlotte, NC
TEAM/Charlotte, NCAnalyze, design, develop and test JSR168 Portlets on WebSphere Portal Server V6.1.5.1. It involves talking to business gathering requirements, preparing BSD (business solutions documents) from BRD, preparing SSD (Solution Specification Documents) from BSD, coding the solution using Rational Application Developer V7.0 / Rational Application Developer V7.5, testing the solution using RAD portal server and Move the solution to upper environments using Portal XML Access Scripts.
Skills Required:
1) Experience in java and J2EE programming.
2) Development experience with WebSphere Portal Server V6.1.5.
3) Portlet development using JSR168 and JSR286 APIs.
4) Experience using IDEs like RAD 7.0 / RAD 7.5.
5) Development experience in WCM (Web Content Management ) on WebSphere Portal Server.
6) Core metrics will be added advantage (currently they are implementing Core Metrics with WCM).
7) Experience in Portal Personalization (in WPS V6.1.5.1) and using PUMA and VMM for accessing attributes.
8) Knowledge on Java / J2ee design patterns.
9) Development experience in Themes and Skins.
10) Knowledge on WebSphere Application Server (WAS) administration like creating Data Sources etc..
11) Experience in using Portal XML access scripts for deploying Portlets (war files), pages, url mappings, credential vault, theme, skins etc..
12) Experience in using IBM DB2 as backend database.
13) Knowledge in UNIX.
- A minimum of 2 full life cycle large project implementations
- A minimum of 3 years experience with business process components, module integration & client facing consulting engagements
- A minimum of 5 years experience in a delivery role
- A minimum of 5 years functional experience within an IT environment
- A minimum of 5 years knowledge of designing different processes/solutions for various clients
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong executive presence and ability to interact with top executives
- Successful teamwork experience & demonstrated leadership abilities
- Bachelors Degree in a related area of study
- 5-7 years of related work experience
- MUST be willing to travel extensively, up to 100%
