The team
The Business Applications team in China is responsible to deliver all the SharePoint developer features in Visual Studio. As SharePoint is transitioning from an on-premise to an online platform, this is a great opportunity to get exposure to online services and the cloud. The products and technologies we enable in Visual Studio also include Silverlight, WCF / RIA Services and more. This is a great opportunity to work with many of the latest developer technologies, influence their designs and drive adoption.

The job
We are looking for a dedicated, motivating leader to manage one of our development teams. As a Senior SDE Lead on our team, your role will include: coaching, leading and growing a talented team of developers; interviewing potential candidates; owning the design and implementation of features; working with Program Management and QA in an agile development environment; collaborating on specifications, development plans and test plans; engaging with customers through various channels; contributing to the team's engineering processes; championing continuous improvement.
- 7+ years of experience in designing, implementing and shipping high quality software,
- Experience managing a development team highly preferable, but not required,
- Solid design, coding, debugging and estimation skills,
- Proven ability to ship software on time and at quality expected,
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated cross-group experience,
- A desire to work closely with the other disciplines in all aspects of the product lifecycle,
- Completed at least two product development lifecycles,
- A BS degree in computer science or equivalent,
- Experience with Agile methodologies such as TDD and Scrum desirable,
- Applied knowledge of the .NET Framework and managed languages a plus.
*We will also consider Senior SDE ICs interested in a position either as lead or IC.*
