Technologies Consultant I
This is an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer with ADP R&D. SUMMARY
Member of team responsible for developing applications, frameworks, components necessary to support and drive a suite of robust complex Internet applications and E-Business products. Will be involved in all phases of development including design, implementation, testing, and deployment. Interface with Product Strategy to understand business requirements and quality requirements. Work with engineers, architects, and managers to formulate and address strategic and tactical initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Analyze, Design, build, document and test Java applications in the HR domain
- Provide leadership and mentoring to team of Java developers
Coordinate work teams and provide technical support to team members
- Work with architects and UI designers to assure product quality
- Improve efficiency of Java development with process and tools
- Increase and improve availability of system information via APIs
Work toward developing a highly scalable, distributed, compute intensive system
- Perform design and code reviews
- Insure that design and architecture is well positioned to meet future needs
- Document and test necessary product features and APIs
- Other duties as assigned

- 7+ years of OO language experience with a minimum of 5 years hands on Java coding.
- 5+ years of Object Oriented Analysis and Design
- 5+ years internet application development
- 4+ years SQL
- UML experience
- XML and XML tools and technologies
- Web protocols and languages HTTP, XML, HTML
- Hands on experience with major web servers, application servers or transaction processing
- Experience within formal software development process
Proven referenceable ability to lead a team and deliver products
- BS/BA in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent work experience
- Sense of humor and belief that work can be fun
