UI Software Engineer

ShopWiki is seeking a UI Software Engineer to work on our online shopping search engine and consumer-content wiki. We are using a web-crawler to populate our product database, which consumers can search with sophisticated queries and tools such as search-by-color. ShopWiki is a well-backed growing company that holds a large piece of the online shopping marketplace both in the Unites States and internationally.

The Shopwiki Engineering team enjoys a laid-back and congenial atmosphere, emphasizing getting our work done. We have diverse interests-- board games, cycling, rock climbing, baking, and making (one dude just got a matter printer). We're Top Coders and screenwriters, musicians and adventurers. But what we all have in common is how into solving hard problems we are.

Responsibilities:
• Design and Development work for features
• Assisting in fleshing out new features and ideas
• Support and guidance for QA and other developers on UI-related topics
• Maintenance of existing code as required

Requirements:
• Bachelors Degree
• 3+ years of UI experience
• Several years of Python experience
• Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS
• Some knowledge of JavaScript
• Knowledge of website performance optimization
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Pluses for knowledge of Mongo DB, cross-browser compatibility issues
