Yoh/Philadelphia, PAYoh has a contract to hire opportunity for a UNIX Systems Administrator to join our client in Philadelphia, PA. For the right candidate this position could be a direct hire. 
Job Overview:
You'll join a world-class Enterprise UNIX Systems Team as a Sr. UNIX Systems Administrator and enjoy the freedom to engage in end-to-end design, installation, management, and problem-solving in 300+ Server cutting-edge UNIX environment.  The Senior UNIX Systems Administrator will be supporting high-availability, distributed enterprise UNIX systems running Sun Solaris 9/10, HP-UX, IBM AIX, Linux, OpenVMS.
Job Responsibilities:

- Perform Sun Solaris 9/10, HP-UX, IBM AIX, Linux UNIX OS, hardware & software administration.
- Implement Sun Solaris XFS clustering, zones, and LDOMs (virtual environment).
- Consolidate UNIX Servers to reduce power usage and simplify administration.
- Automate UNIX installation, disaster recovery, and reporting to focus on more strategic projects.
- Develop Perl, Awk, and Sed scripts (UNIX shell scripting and automation, Korn shell, SH, Bourne, Bash).
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing; Ensure UNIX systems backup runs (Veritas NetBackup)
- Tune UNIX OS to ensure optimal performance (tuning enterprise operating systems and servers). 
- Conduct LINUX and UNIX systems security assessments and risk analysis.  Security Hardening.
- Document procedures related to network and server configuration, systems backup, and disaster recovery.

Job Qualifications:

- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Solaris 10 LDOM, Zones (Container), network services, TCP/IP configuration troubleshooting skills.
- 3+ years designing, implementing, and supporting UNIX in a fast-paced, mission-critical organization 
- Automation and scripting experience with either Perl, Shell (SH), Korn (KSH), Bourne, Bash, POSIX.
- Desire to learn lots of new technology and enterprise clustering, disaster recovery, security concepts.
- LDOM, ZFS, LDAP, DNS, JumpStart, Solaris Zones.
- Requirements include the ability to work independently and hit the ground running in a fast-paced, exciting, growth-oriented environment. 
- The ability to interface with all levels of IT, including software development, quality assurance, IT support, business groups, and management working towards a common goal. 
- Some experience with the following helpful, but not necessary: Oracle RAC, Websphere, MQ Series, Apache Server.
