Web Analytics Analyst - ALM Media (Financial District)
The Web Analytics Analyst ensures that the data collection, analysis, reporting, and forecasting needs of the organization are met.
Responsibilities:
Work with internal stakeholders to understand their reporting needs
Design user-relevant reports and dashboards to meet those requirements
Deliver reports or dashboards as required by stakeholders --weekly, monthly, and yearly.
Complete ad-hoc requests for web analytics data support
Analyze quantitative data collected through web user click stream, and visitor tracking and path analysis to gain actionable insight on customer movement through ALM's web properties.
Make strategic recommendations based on insight gained to improve the customers website experience
Continually identify opportunities to improve reporting and analysis
Train SiteCatalyst users within the company
Define Web metrics requirements
Validate and audit data
Assist in maintaining the SiteCatalyst implementation; manage tracking-tool changes
Aid key stakeholders define site/section goals and the data readouts needed to drive improvement
Help identify Key Performance Indicators
Work with site owners to fine-tune their websites, work with marketing staff to track and optimize online advertising campaigns and landing pages.
Ensure new pages or site changes carry proper tracking tags
Develop ad-hoc reports in SiteCatalyst and Data Warehouse and interpret data
Identify conversions, and funnels; set up KPI alerts
Identify and create segments in Data Warehouse to optimize channels
Effectively gather and analyze social media analytics
Work with marketers to measure and maximize online campaigns to understand group behavior
Requirements:
Bachelors degree; 2 years of relevant experience in web analytics
SiteCatalyst & HBX experience.
Deep passion for the space; data pattern recognition skill;
Ability to communicate findings to the business in terms it can understand;
Ability to perform ad hoc analyses on data sets, identify trends, formulate possible causal mechanisms; bear experience to find the right ways to apply the power of analytics to find the right answers for our customers;
Excel and PPT expertise to communicate findings;
Excellent communications and presentation skills; impressive people skills;
